10 years later, this is still a very helpful video. i never noticed those little flaps. finally got the old, rusty and dirty floppy drive out, and switched for another defaced samsung that is pretty much pristine. i think ill test the original someday tho, see if it still works anyway.

Looks like you didn't thoroughly clean everything or get the aluminum hot enough to fuse the rods to the base metal.

I used one of the in much the same way, however in my personal experience I found that after a few weeks my Dewalt battery stopped accepting a charge... I'm not sure if it died from being used in this way, or maybe it was just a coincidence, but I stopped doing it after that just in case, because the batteries are too expensive for me to keep trying it.

Same as you - rented property and garage in separate block. I've got 2x Bosch 18v garden tools (only one battery) and a 12v power drill. Which power source would your prefer? I've got two batteries for the drill...

Why there is play in lm8uu based linear rail , I measure the diameter of different roads all diameter is less than 8mm it's around 7.6 to 7.8 mm is it common tolorance or perfect 8mm rods are also available??

Stumbled across this video because I saw this PC being sold and it comes with an Acer 19" monitor for 40€, (I just want the monitor but wondered if I could empty the case completely and use it my build). Not sure that would work after watching this but do you think this PC could even be usable a decade later?

There are high- temperature resistant epoxy glues, which are sold in Amazon, that bond metal to metal. Have you ever tried those glues?

That was kind of a shity way of showing us how you do everything you didn't even show us but the power cord you didn't really show us much about you hooking up the switch button nothing so you're getting thumbs down for me bud

what grade aluminium did you use

I have this motor and if i give direct 20v to it and attach it starter wire to positive then the motor run and stops automatically. So i used a relay to make it keep running on high speed and it worked . I just connected a relay with the main power and connect its one end with positive and another with starter wire

OK I watched a guy last night he used firstly sandpaper then a good going over. witha a good stainless steel brush then acetone to clean up. He then proceeded to braze to thickish pieces of aluminium at right angles to each other and then he beat on it with a 2 pound hammer for quite some time before it eventually gave way. You need to clean all surface thoroughly before brazing.
